GhostFi vs ChangeNOW
GhostFi and ChangeNOW both convert crypto from a one-time deposit address to a wallet you name, with no account needed for a standard swap. ChangeNOW is the much larger service, listing more than 1000 assets on 110+ blockchains, with fixed and floating rates. GhostFi is a smaller service, with a published service fee of 0.6% (0.4% for the same coin), a floating rate only, and a converter on the web and in Telegram.

What is GhostFi?
GhostFi (ghostfi.io) is a crypto conversion service. You pick what you send and what you get, paste the address that should receive it, and send once to a one-time deposit address. An exchange converts the deposit and the payout goes to the wallet you named. There is no sign-up and your wallet is never connected. It runs on the web and in the Telegram bot @Ghostfi_Privacy_bot. While an order runs, your funds pass through the one-time deposit address and an exchange. It is a small service: 273 completed transfers and conversions from 5 April to 28 October 2026, with live numbers on its stats page.
What is ChangeNOW?
ChangeNOW (changenow.io) is a crypto exchange service. Its own pages describe the flow as: choose a pair, enter the recipient wallet address, and send the deposit to a one-time deposit address it generates. Its FAQ says standard swaps need no registration, and that an email is needed for a ChangeNOW Pro account. It cites more than 1000 crypto assets, more than 1M currency pairs and 110+ blockchains.
Do I need an account on GhostFi or ChangeNOW?
Not for a standard swap on either. GhostFi has no sign-up and no email for any order. ChangeNOW's FAQ says users can make standard swaps without registration, while ChangeNOW Pro and fiat purchases ask for an email.
How do the fees compare?
GhostFi publishes a percentage: a 0.6% service fee between two different coins and 0.4% for the same coin, plus the network fee of the payout chain. Sending a stablecoin from an EVM chain adds a small fixed network fee. All of it is shown on the quote, and the amount shown already has it taken out.
ChangeNOW's FAQ lists the fee types that can apply (the deposit network fee, the network fee to move funds to the liquidity provider, the liquidity provider's trading fee and the network fee of the payout) and says they are included in the estimate. Its FAQ does not state a percentage, so compare the final amount each quote shows for the same pair and size.
Fixed rate or floating rate?
ChangeNOW offers both: on its standard flow the rate can change while the transaction is processed, and on the fixed flow the rate is locked for the time shown when you create the exchange. GhostFi has a floating rate only. If the price moves too far against your quote before the deposit converts, the order does not convert and the deposit goes back to your refund address or the sending address.
Which coins and chains does each one cover?
ChangeNOW cites more than 1000 assets on 110+ blockchains. GhostFi covers far fewer: on 28 October 2026 you could send SOL, USDT and USDC on Solana; ETH, USDT and USDC on Ethereum; BNB, USDT and USDC on BNB Chain; ETH and USDC on Base; ETH on Arbitrum; ETH and USDG on Robinhood Chain; and USDC on Arc. Payouts also open on USDT on Tron and BTC on Bitcoin. If your coin is not on that list, check ChangeNOW's much longer list.
Can either one hold or check an order?
Yes, both. ChangeNOW's FAQ says transactions are screened by an automated system, and a flagged exchange is put on hold while the customer is asked to confirm their identity through its partner SumSub. GhostFi's terms say it can refuse an order or stop one before it converts when the law requires it, when an exchange or network it relies on refuses it, or when an order breaks its terms. GhostFi relies on exchange liquidity behind the scenes, so an exchange's checks can apply to an order.
How long does a swap take?
ChangeNOW states an average exchange time of about 1 minute, with delays possible on slow network confirmations or large transactions. GhostFi does not publish an average: on Ethereum and other EVM chains a deposit needs a set number of confirmations, and the order page shows each step as it happens.
When should I pick GhostFi, and when ChangeNOW?
- Pick ChangeNOW when your coin or chain is not on GhostFi's list, when you want a fixed rate, or when you want a much larger service.
- Pick GhostFi when your pair is on its list and you want a published percentage fee, a converter inside Telegram, SOL payouts with the optional Ghost route through fresh wallets, or a PayMe link to get paid in the coin you choose.
- For the same pair and amount, open both quotes and compare the final amount you receive.

Questions
Is GhostFi a ChangeNOW alternative?
Yes, for the pairs GhostFi covers. Both convert from a one-time deposit address to a wallet you name with no account for a standard swap. GhostFi covers far fewer coins and chains, publishes a 0.6% service fee (0.4% for the same coin) and has a floating rate only.
Is GhostFi cheaper than ChangeNOW?
It depends on the pair and the amount. GhostFi publishes its percentage, ChangeNOW includes its fees in the estimate without a published percentage on its FAQ. Open both quotes for the same pair and amount and compare the final amount you receive.
Does GhostFi offer a fixed rate like ChangeNOW?
No. GhostFi's rate floats until your deposit converts. If the price moves too far against your quote first, the order does not convert and the deposit goes back to your refund address or the address you sent from.
Where do my funds go during a swap?
On GhostFi, funds pass through the one-time deposit address and an exchange before the payout goes to the wallet you named. On ChangeNOW, its how-it-works page says you send your funds to its one-time deposit address and it sends the exchanged coins back to you.
